Who we are.....
The Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) is an affiliate of the national Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN). The RMR serves members from Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Utah. Membership is processed through the WOCN and applicants are assigned to a region based on geographical location.
The RMR holds two regional conference meetings per year. One meeting occurs during the national WOCN conference, in the late spring/summer and the second is held during the fall. The site of the fall conference rotates between all five member states. Regional conferences and meetings provide members with opportunities to network with colleagues, gain updated information on the latest products and practices, and participate in continuing education offerings. The RMR provides such opportunities to enhance the field of Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing through professional organization and affiliation.
Our Mission.....
The RMR exists to promote the professional and educational advancement of the Wound Ostomy Continence (WOC) Nurse. In this way we guide the delivery of expert health care to people with wounds, ostomies, and incontinence.
The Rocky Mountain Region of the WOCN fosters high standards of practice relating to the care, teaching, and rehabilitation of persons with ostomies, incontinence needs, and chronic wounds.
